Forefoot Relief for Everyday Comfort
Forefoot Relief for Everyday Comfort
Common causes:
Metatarsalgia – Pressure overload under the ball of the foot causing burning/aching with push-off.
Morton’s Neuroma – Irritated nerve between toes causing burning, tingling, or “pebble in shoe” sensation.
Bunions (Hallux Valgus) – Big-toe joint drifts toward the second toe, leading to rubbing, swelling, and shoe pain.
Hammer/Claw/Mallet Toes – Toe deformities causing corns/callus from shoe pressure or tendon imbalance.
Sesamoiditis – Inflammation under the big-toe joint from repetitive loading (running, jumping, forefoot shoes).
Symptoms:
Burning/tingling toes (neuroma), pressure under forefoot, bunion ache, rubbing/corns.
Treatment options:
Footwear fit/width, orthoses & forefoot padding, rocker-soled options,
toe spacers/splints, taping, activity/load tweaks; referral if surgical discussion needed.
